Partner Profile
Eddie Kam has been a CPA for over 20 years. He founded Newcon in 1996. Since then, he has been assisting business owners and management with day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, tax planning and preparation, payroll processing, accounting system implementation, and general business planning.
Prior to that, he was the Vice President / Controller of United National Bank, Los Angeles. He supervised the Finance Department and was responsible for investment management, tax planning, budgeting, and financial reporting to meet various regulatory requirements. Eddie is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and holds a master degree in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served in the Board of Directors of Chinese-American of Certified Public Accountants Society for four years.
Joanne Tong , CPA, received her master degree in business taxation from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining Newcon in 2003, Joanne was a manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, one of the largest accounting firms in the world. Her areas of expertise include tax planning and compliance in merger and acquisition, corporate, partnership, and individual taxation, as well as general accounting and business consulting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
